It is believed that early ancestors of Friesian carried knights wearing armor, during the Middle Ages. The hero in the 1985 movie, Ladyhawke rode a Friesian.

Recently a Friesian stallion named Frederick the Great, was named world’s most handsome horse. From these pictures, is it easy to see why.

He is a tall, well-muscled, black stallion with a jet-black mane that is probably the envy of horses around the world! His curly mane almost touches the ground! Frederik live in the Ozarks at Pinnacle Friesians.

Horse breeder, Stacy Nazario has focused her efforts on the Friesian stallions because the breed has been on the brink of extinction three times!

A rising concern is the amount of inbreeding among the Friesian breed.

The stallions at Pinnacle Farms have impeccable pedigrees, and they have some of the most stunning horses. These pictures show the beauty and grace of this incredible horse.

The video shows Frederick dancing, prancing and strutting his stuff for an audience of children – he truly is a majestic horse! Frederick is making the rounds on social media and is becoming very well-known he even has over 14,000 Facebook followers!

This is one horse that doesn’t need a hero to ride him, Frederick does a great job all on his own! Share away, people!

Neglected Bull Was Chained His Entire Life. His Touching Reaction To Freedom Is Beautiful To Witness.

Bandit the bull lived in a steel box for all of his life. He was one of many million stock animals that lived in narrow stables worldwide and had never been outside his enclosure. It’s an existence that is tough to comprehend.

But it makes his freedom all the more rewarding. I for one didn’t expect a bull to care much whether it was fed in a cage or on the range, especially if it had been raised in captivity like Bandit.

The moment the big-hearted bull realized he was free totally changed my point of view. Bandit’s demeanor immediately changes once he’s freed from his chain. The 2,000 lb bull frolics as lightly and excitedly as a baby deer! Bandit also nuzzles and plays in the lose hey inside the barn.

My heartstrings were fully tugged when Bandit and his rescuer interact at his new home. Bandit gently nuzzles right up against his new owner, at one point they are head to head. You can almost sense Bandit telling his rescuer how much he loves him. It’s a beautiful image of hope and freedom.

Watch the touching moment below and share with your friends!

Vet Comforts Scared Puppy After Surgery

This man has a heart of gold. The sweet little puppy was coming out of anesthesia and frightened not understanding why she was feeling so funny. Dennis Moses, a surgical assistant and BARCS Animal Shelter immediately scooped her up in his arms and took her out into the quiet hallway to bring her comfort in the sweetest way possible.

Little Meesha just couldn’t understand why she was feeling so woozy, but certainly with the help of Dennis speaking so tenderly to her, she calmed down soon. And the wonderful news is just a few days after this video was filmed this sweet little dog was adopted into a forever home. No doubt she will continue to receive the tender love and care she received while under the care at this amazing animal shelter.

Endangered Tiger Just Gave Birth To A Rare Cub. Moments Later, Cameras Catch The Impossible!

The Sumatran tiger is one of the most critically endangered species in the world, with only 300 to 400 left in the wild. Between rampant poaching and rising deforestation of their natural habitat in Indonesia, those numbers sadly only continue to decline.

So when a new Sumatran cub is born, it’s always a reason for celebration. At the ZSL London Zoo, a pregnant tiger named Melati was due to give birth, and after 108 days of pregnancy, she went into labor. What she delivered, however, was a very pleasant surprise!

I’m Not Lying When I Say There Is A Cat Hiding In This Photo. Can You Find It?

When you were young did you enjoy games of hide and seek? I know I sure did. And now, every time I see my little niece and nephew, I play a game. But humans are not the only critters on earth who like to play. As we shared with you last week, a polar beer was playing a game of hide and seek with a zoo patron. They kept going for minutes and the bear never got bored of the game.

But sometimes animals are better at the game than humans. While hunters and military personnel have the right clothing to camouflage with the environment, some animals are able to do it naturally. There’s a number of reasons animals use camouflage. We share a list with you below.

However, there’s a cat in the picture below. And despite what you might think or want to say, I promise you he’s there. But he’s got a good hiding spot.

Check out the picture and see if you can find the hiding cat…

Scan the image below. You’ll see a wooded scene with a large stack of logs ready for the wood stove or campfire. Somewhere in the image, there’s a cat hiding in plain sight. Unlike some other images, this cat is not hiding behind something that makes him nearly impossible to spot. He’s right there in front of you. You’re probably looking at him right now…

This picture has been stumping thousands of people across the internet. If you don’t see him, don’t worry. You’re not alone. I had a lot of trouble seeing this cat. That’s why I’m so excited to share this picture with you. I know it’s going to be a lot of fun for you. And then you can challenge your family and friends to find him too.

Mosquitoes Always Bite You More Than Your Friends?! This Is The Reason Why…

The only possible thing that can dampen the mood on a beautiful summer night is a swarm of mosquitos. And if you’re the one of the bunch who always seems to get bitten more than your friends, you’ll be especially wary of spending any time outdoor without bug spray.

But did you know that a number of biological factors contribute to the undeniable mosquito attraction? Scroll down to discover the most common reasons mosquitoes bite you more than your friends.

he amount of lactic acid you’re producing is the most common reason mosquitos are attracted to you. The more in your system, the more mosquitos will love to suck your blood.

If you’ve got beads of perspiration, or sweat, on your skin, it’s like a calling card for those blood suckers. But mosquitoes are most attracted to older sweat. So make sure to wipe away the residue frequently.

Another key factor in attracting mosquitos is the kind of bacteria on your skin. Staphylococcus and Variovorax are two types of bacteria that live on your skin that attract pests. On the other hand, Pseudomonas, Delftia, Leptotrichia, and Actinobacteria are bacteria that actually repel mosquitos!

While you can’t change your blood type, the fact remains that people with type O blood are most likely to get bitten followed by those with B then A.

Our carbon dioxide emissions also attract mosquitos. Those that breathe heavier will more likely get bitten by mosquitos. The insects are attracted to the release of carbon dioxide since it means there is a warm-bodied host nearby.

Why do you think you’re getting bitten by mosquitos?

If You See One Of These Bugs That Are Invading The U.S. , Call 911 Right Away

Texas residents need to be a little more careful about their health after recent reports of a new threat that will have even the most courageous cowboy trembling in their boots. Despite having a very friendly name, “kissing bugs” are no fun at all, causing an infection that could potentially kill you – and they have been popping up in counties all over the lone star state.

Image via AWM

Kissing bugs get their name because they like to bit human faces and especially lips, typically only at night while they are sleeping. They leave behind a parasite that causes Chagas disease, a condition that has historically only been seen in the tropics but now is spreading like wildfire across Texas.

Chagas disease is hard to detect, shows a variety of symptoms and can be potentially deadly. At first, it seems like those who are infected are just suffering from a mild case of the flu. This transitions into a second, far more painful phase that inflicts up to 30% with heart issues and 10% with gastrointestinal distress.

The CDC has no approved treatment for the disease, only experimental drugs that are at best 85% effective – and even then, only when taken right after the infection takes hold. According to KXAS, the rise in infections is not due to an increased population of kissing bugs. Rather, the suburbs around Texas are simply expanding onto their land.
