After Seeing Why She Bakes Her Eggshells I’ll Never Throw Mine Away Ever Again!

If you’re like me, you love making some eggs for breakfast every morning. Whether you’re a scrambled, over-easy, or poached eggs kind of person, you’re probably tossing your eggshells in the trash or the compost.

But did you know that egg shells are 90% pure calcium? That’s right, the mineral vital to bone, muscle, and enzyme health is going down the trash every time you toss your egg shells.

Let us introduce you to a better way to use your old egg shells.

When it comes down to the facts, the National Institute of Health keeps proving that ground up egg shells are a great way to introduce the necessary amount of calcium into the human body.

When you mix some ground egg shells into your diet, your body easily absorbs it and puts it to use. Just half a teaspoon of eggshell calcium gives you 90% of your daily need containing 1000-1500 mg of the good nutrient.

In order to use your old eggshells, gather a large amount together. Then boil them in water for 10 minutes to make sure there is no bacteria or anything on it.

Some people then take it a step further and bake them in the oven at 350 for 10-15 minutes to dry them out. But this step isn’t necessary.

Let your eggshells cool after you boil them. Once that’s happened, put them in a coffee or spice grinder and disintegrate them into a powder.

Now that you’ve got your calcium powder, store it in an air tight jar to promote freshness. Every time you make a smoothie or something just put half a teaspoon in. It’ll be a great boost of the vital mineral.

Amazing avocado hack ripens the fruit in just 10 minutes

Just when you are craving for a guacamole and when you get to the store, there is a pile of totally unripe avocados. Well do not settle for the store-bought stuff.

Below is a foolproof trick into making avocados creamy and soft in minutes.

What You Need:

Baking sheet

What to Do:

1. Using the tinfoil, wrap the whole fruit.
2. Set it on the baking sheet.
3. Place it in the oven at 200°F for 10 minutes or until the avocado is soft. Depending on how hard it is, it could take up to at least 1 hour to soften.
4. Remove from the oven.
5. Put the soft and ripe avocado into the fridge until it cools.

How This Works:

Avocados produce ethylene gas, which is released slowly, causing the fruit to ripen. But since the avocado bakes in tinfoil, the gas surrounds it, therefore putting the ripening process into hyperdrive.

Here‘s The Reason Why Some People Can Roll Their Tongues And Others Can‘t

It’s amazing how resilient some myths can be. We all know that the conventional wisdom isn’t always true, but you’d think that an old myth would be replaced right away once we hear how things really are. Sadly, the world doesn’t always work so neatly since not everyone gets to hear the message at once.

So sometimes we can have cases where a common belief has been debunked for years, yet it still finds a way to resurface again. For instance, has anyone ever scolded you for cracking your knuckles? They might warn you that doing this puts you at risk of arthritis but studies have been showing no link between the two since 1975.

Other cases don’t really point to any danger but still manage to get a very basic aspect of our bodies wrong. Today, we can finally put one of those myths to bed.

It starts with a simple question: Can you roll your tongue?

COMMENT and tell us about all the neat body tricks you can do.

For most of you, the question seems like a no-brainer.

You can obviously show if you can roll your tongue, but even those who can’t do it likely won’t give the question much thought.

After all, you can’t roll your tongue if your family members can’t, right?

We’ve been taught that our parents pass down this ability as simply as they do eye color. In my case, it would be no surprise that I can roll my tongue because my dad can do it too.

via My Kids’ Adventures

A lot of us might not think about it but this belief can be a real problem for some kids.

When their parents can’t roll their tongues but they can, they may start to worry that these people aren’t really their parents.

via Club 93.7 | NBC

Fortunately, those frustrated tongue rollers don’t have to worry.

It turns out you don’t actually inherit this trait directly from your parents. Plus there’s some good news if you’ve always wanted to roll your tongue but haven’t been able to.

How To Cure Skin Tags, Moles, Warts, Blackheads, And Age Spots Naturally.

Skin diseases and problems are quite common in people of all age groups and the treatment for them can be pretty delicate.

Skin tags, moles, warts, age spots, and blackheads are some of the skin diseases you may be facing, although there are about 3,000 different skin issues one can experience.

Every skin change, in color, texture or smell could be a potential health problem, and you need to act quickly to treat it. Pharmaceutical meds are available for use and treatment, but can sometimes act harshly and aggressively on the skin.

To protect yourself from skin irregularities and from chemical medications, there are a few homemade recipes that can get you a healthy and glowing skin in no time.

Below you will find some of the most effective home remedies for the most frequent skin diseases, which are both cheap and effective:

  1. Moles

Moles occur on the skin but do not represent a serious health threat. When a mole begins to change in color or size, it may be a clear symptom of cancer.

However, you can get rid of moles by using crushed garlic topically and letting it act for four hours a day. Another solution you can try is apple cider vinegar- it doesn’t have the power of the garlic, but it can be useful. Here are the best home remedies for treating moles:

  • Garlic

Either garlic extract or raw garlic can be very productive for mole treatment. Make sure to clear the skin around the mole with masking tape or petroleum jelly. For a more natural option choose beeswax and oil instead of petroleum jelly. Apply topically and bandage the mole. Repeat until you see positive results.

  • Castor Oil and Baking Soda

Mix both ingredients until they form a paste and apply topically onto mole. Bandage area and leave paste to work overnight. The following morning, rinse skin well. Repeat each night until you see improvement.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar

Use a cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar and apply directly on the mole. Bandage the area and leave the ACV to act for eight hours. Repeat until mole begins to darken and falls off.

  1. Warts

Small, but tricky- warts are derived as a result of the human papillomavirus or HPV. Normally the treatment involves salicylic acid or freezing. In some cases, wrapping warts into duct tape is also helpful. However, here are other treatments that might help you get rid of warts:

  • Bananas

Bananas may be the fastest way for a wart-free skin. Rub wart with banana peel every night and repeat treatment until the wart disappears. It usually takes up to two weeks to see results.

  • Pure Raw Honey

Raw honey, rubbed directly on the wart can be a very effective way to dispose of it. Wrap skin with bandage after applying it. When warts are treated with raw honey, they have very small changes of reoccurring.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar

Apply apple cider vinegar each night onto wart by using a cotton ball soaked in the liquid. Bandage area and leave it overnight. Rinse and repeat process until the wart fades.

  • Garlic

Always Wondered Why All Jeans Have These Metal Rivets, The Reason Is Fascinating.

It’s hard to find anything more American than blue jeans. They’re the go-to pants for everything from working in the yard to going to the mall.

But even if you wear jeans every day, you still really don’t know everything about them. As it turns out, those jeans hold some pretty interesting secrets hiding in plain sight.

Chances are you’ve never noticed the rivets on the corner of your jean pockets, but they’re on almost every pair of jeans you own.

image via Israsport

But why in the world do the pockets have rivets? Well, it turns out there’s a historical explanation.

 image via Giphy

During the California Gold Rush, workers complained that their pants weren’t durable enough to hold up to their hard work, and were often ripping at the pockets. That’s when a man named Jacob Davis, a tailor in Reno, Nevada, came up with the idea to rivet the corners of the pockets and make them more durable.

Looking for a business partner, Davis contacted a man named Levi Strauss in 1872 who owned a dry goods and clothing store in San Francisco, California. The two teamed up and received a patent for the riveted pockets, and their jeans company took off, eventually becoming the company Levi Strauss Jeans that we know today.

So the next time you’re wearing a pair of jeans, look down and really take notice of the craftsmanship involved. You’re wearing a piece of history!

I had no idea about this! What a fascinating little piece of history.

Instead Of Throwing Away Her Old Pill Bottles,Watch What She Does With Them

Each year, over 100 million tons of waste end up in landfills in the United States alone. Space for all our trash is increasingly coming at a premium, and this has resulted in society doubling down on the importance of recycling, reusing and composting as much trash as we can. According to Duke University, “Approximately two-thirds of our household waste can be composted. If compost is not an option, vermiposting (composting with worms) is popular in apartment settings. Additionally, many urban areas are now experiencing an increased interest in urban gardening. Look around your communities and neighborhoods to find local gardens that may accept your food scraps for compost.”

Pill bottles are something that so many of us are guilty of tossing in the trash. However, aside from being a container for our medications, these bottles can come in real handy in a variety of different situations. Here are just some of the different ways they can be used:

1. A Compact Emergency Kit

2. A Fire-Starter Kit

The next time you go camping, be sure to pack a miniature fire-starter kit so that you won’t have to struggle to get a roaring fire going. This kit also makes a great complement to the miniature emergency kit above.

3. Button Storage

There is nothing quite like the disappointment of losing a button on your most cherished garment. What’s even more heartbreaking is if you have no idea where you put the spare buttons for it.

4. Customizable Gift Box

In My Own Style

Making your own jewelry and small trinkets is a great way to express your creativity. However, creating the perfect packaging for them can be a challenge.

Man bakes 256 crayons in the oven. What comes out two days later isn’t too shabby.

American Peter Brown is an enthusiastic craftsman. He’s spent his whole life experimenting with wood and other, primarily soft materials, in his workshop. This time he has decided to work with crayons and makes something amazing out of them.

He bought hundreds of crayons to make something really special with them.

First, you have to get rid of the wrappers. To remove them, he places the crayons in the freezer. This way the wax shrinks up and the wrapper can be removed quite easily.

He puts them into the oven. The crayons melt at about 140°F and lose a bit of their mass.

Once the mass has cooled down, he removes it from the baking pan. The crayons are now a nice, stable block. But what could you make out of it?

Gradually you can see what Peter is making out of the crayons on the video below.

Although the vase is not made of ceramic or wood, it is still a masterpiece. If you have old crayons stored at home, you can make all kinds of cool stuff out of them as Peter has demonstrated. If you want to check out what else he has made, visit his Facebook page here.

Homemade cool packs made out of ordinary dishwashing liquid

Regardless of whether it is summer or winter – you should always have at least one cool pack at home. The small blue cushions can help you whether it’s warm or cold; whether you have stomach pain or the threat of a mean swelling somewhere. But did you know that you can make your own cool packs using a very ordinary household item? So, in case you don’t have any lying around or you’d like to save a bit of money here and there, it’s really quite neat, this trick.

You’ll need the following:

  • Tight, sealable freezer bag(s)
  • 1 cup dishwashing liquid
  • 1/4 cup alcoholic cleaning agent (optional)

And here’s what you do , instructions on video:

A nice side effect of these homemade cool packs is that they stay cold for even longer periods than the conventional ones. Just make sure you never lay a cool pack directly on the skin as this could cause serious frostbite. It’s always best to place a towel between your skin and the pack. Your homemade cool packs can also incidentally be used repeatedly and they are just as flexible as their purchased equivalents and adapt to body shapes.

How To Get Rid Of Your Stretch Marks Naturally

There are several life events that have huge impact on your life after pregnancy. Aside from adapting to a busier schedule with taking care of the baby, you will soon find out that your body is not how it used to be. For example, it may take a longer time to lose weight. You will also notice some marks on your butt, abdominal region, and breasts. In fact, all women who have gone through pregnancy will have stretch marks on their bellies. To add to this mayhem is reduced elasticity after childbirth. This makes the flaws more noticeable after your first pregnancy. Getting rid of these imperfections is tougher than you think.

The Causes of Stretch Marks

Stretch marks generally appear once you gain weight and then quickly lose the additional weight immediately after pregnancy. The skin is stretched tightly resulting in skin surface breaks. Stretch marks essentially starts developing during pregnancy as women tend to gain up to 30 pounds of weight in 9 months. Expecting mothers aren’t the only ones plagued with stretch marks. People who suddenly put a lot of pounds within a short span of time and then begin to lose all the extra weight rapidly are prone to developing stretch marks too.

When you gain weight fast, marks will most likely appear, specifically on areas where lines are commonplace such as in the case of the buttocks and stomach region. Stretch marks may also develop in areas such as the upper arms, thigh region, and breasts. If these areas were stretched during weight gain, you are most likely to witness the development of stretch marks once you start losing the excess pounds.

Stretch marks initially appear reddish or purplish in color. However, this will progress and turn silver or gray once they start to fade away from the skin over time. After a month or so, these lines become more visible and harder to remove unless the right treatment regimen and procedures are implemented. With this in mind, it is crucial that stretch marks are treated and eradicated during their initial stage. Consider the use of the right products to reduce the appearance of these lines until they become barely noticeable on the skin.

Who are at Most Risk of Developing Stretch Marks?

According to a study conducted by the American Academy of Dermatology, there are several groups of people who are prone to developing stretch marks at certain points in their life:

-90% f women in their 3rd trimester will start to develop stretch marks.

– Genetics plays a big role in the chances of men and women to develop stretch marks later in life. If your mother had stretch marks, you are most likely to develop them at some point in life too.

– Obese or overweight people who suddenly lose a great amount of fat.

Stretch mark happens to everyone, regardless of age and complexion. No race or nationality is exempt from developing these unsightly lines. For people with darker skin tone or complexion, the marks will appear more silvery and lighter than their natural skin color. As for those with white or fair skin, the marks leave pinkish discoloration on the skin.

One truth that you should know by now is that stretch marks cannot be removed altogether. It is something that you will deal with once you have delivered your baby or lost weight after you made a drastic change in your lifestyle. What you can do at most is reduce their appearance of these nasty lines by keeping the skin well hydrated all the time. The use of stretch mark creams or moisturizing lotions work well in hydrating the skin 24/7. There are also specialty creams that make your skin smoother and more supply while having the ability of reducing itchiness especially during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Staying well hydrated is a great way to reduce the chances of developing stretch marks. Skin creams are known to improve skin quality by making it appear smoother, more toned, less itchy, and more elastic too. Drinking lots and lots of water to optimize hydration is another simple and yet highly effective way of making the lines appear less pronounced too.

When do Marks Begin to Fade?

Majority of stretch marks actually fade over time. From purple color, the lines become more silvery or white in color. There are also people who complain that instead of getting lighter, their stretch marks become more visible instead of becoming less visible and less pronounced. This is why it’s important to implement intervention when marks are still in its initial stages of development. When the lines are red, make sure to follow proven techniques to get rid of them. Never wait for them to turn silver or white before you do something about them, as at this point it becomes all the more difficult to get rid of them.

There are various ways on how you can treat these stretch marks. Hyaluronic acid in combination with onion extract is a great example of a natural remedy for stretch marks. A gel solution can be created by combining these two potent ingredients and must be applied directly on the skin. After twelve weeks of daily use, you will notice the marks have already faded completely.

Other techniques or ways of getting rid of stretch marks are a plenty, but not all of them are considered natural in nature. For example, the use of retinoid cream is considered effective in minimizing stretch marks. The secret to getting positive results is the technique by which creams are applied on the affected area. Retinoid cream guarantees fast cell turnover- a condition that is necessary in promoting the new collagen growth while making the skin more nourished and attractive.

The use of lasers is also recommended to most people who want to remove their stretch marks fast. Laser results in quicker growth of collagen tissue while keeping the dilated blood vessels relatively smaller in size. Bear in mind though, that laser treatment is only effective after a few sessions, thus it can be very effective and impractical for people who are looking for cheaper, but equally effective ways of getting rid of their stretch marks.

1St Electricity-Free AC Ever Developed From Recycled Bottles!

In a lot of places around the world people don’t have access to some of the luxuries we take for granted: electricity, internet, running water, or even regular supplies of food and clean water. Add to that the unbearable heat of summer temperatures in places like India and half the population is out of commission for most the afternoon. But their situation is not without hope!

More than 28,000 people live in a tiny area called Daulatdia in Bangladesh. They are cramped in small huts with no running water and temperatures outside and inside can rise above 113º F.

Image Screenshot via Youtube

It’s made of one piece of sturdy cardboard and a series of recycled plastic bottles. The bottoms and necks of the bottles are cut away and then stuck into a series of holes cut into the board.

Once all of the bottles are in place, the board is placed in front of a door or window. The cooling effects are immediate.

Hot air enters the bottles from the outside and then sends cooler air out of the thinner neck. The principle is similar to the effect when you exhale into your hand with an open mouth or with pursed lips. Feel the difference for yourself!

This simple solution can cool an indoor space by more than 10º F. What a relief for the people who experience extreme temperatures day in, day out.

Countless villages have already started using the simplest air conditioning in the world.

Here’s a video that shows exactly how the system works:
