The company has announced that the phone’s rear camera will be 60 MP and the front camera will be 20 MP. Imagine taking a selfie with THAT!

Even in the power section, The Turing Monolith will have a 120 KWh battery, that’s way longer than most phones we use today.

Samsung recalls all Galaxy Note 7’s due to exploding batteries

Samsung has announced that it will recall all Galaxy Note 7 devices after multiple reports of battery explosions while the device was charging. This news comes after the company had reportedly delayed shipments to investigate the issue — obviously the Korean manufacturer found reason to be concerned about the product.
FollowingIMGd78sf
Lithium-ion battery chemistry is tricky stuff. Companies are extremely secretive about their chemistries and manufacturing components, looking for any method of gaining an advantage over their competitors. Samsung is recalling nearly all the devices, apparently, because it hasn’t been able to isolate the flaw to a single product or manufacturing flaw in a particular battery manufacturer’s process. While the number of affected devices is reportedly small, at just 24 per 100,000, thermal runaway in lithium-ion devices can ignite fires or leave third-degree burns on humans if the device is in a pocket when it ignites.
FollowingIMGds78fs
Flames and third-degree burns now included!

Various US carriers have already responded to news of the problem with their own recalls and programs. AT&T states that it is still in the process of defining its exchange / return program and will have more information for customers soon. T-Mobile notes that customers who have purchased a Samsung Note 7 are eligible for full refunds on the device and all Note 7 accessories. Customers may keep the Netflix subscriptions they received with the order and all restocking and shipping fees are waived. Sprint states it will offer customers a “similar device” until the situation is resolved but does not mention explicit refunds (like AT&T, it promises to share more details in the near future). Verizon notes it will waive the restocking fee for any customer that wishes to return or exchange the Galaxy Note 7.

Samsung is going to take a heavy hit for the recall, according to Reuters. Koh Dong-jin, head of the Samsung’s manufacturing business, told Reuters the recall would be worldwide and affect already-sold units, units in transit, and units still on store shelves. China is the sole exception — these devices apparently use different batteries and are not affected by the same problem. Koh wouldn’t confirm how many devices Samsung was recalling but noted that the company had already sold 2.5 million Note 7’s worldwide. “I can’t comment on exactly how much the cost will be, but it pains my heart that it will be such a big number,” he said.

The recall will have a significant impact on Samsung’s financials for the quarter but the company hopes long-term Note 7 sales will be unaffected. If you have a Note 7 we strongly recommend replacing it, even if you haven’t previously had problems — battery fires are nothing to take chances with.

‘Pokémon GO’s Upcoming ‘Buddy System’ Is The Best Thing That Could Happen To The Game

Buddies are important. Everyone likes a buddy. You might even play Pokemon Go with your buddies. But don’t you wish you could actually have buddies inside Pokemon Go? Don’t worry — they are coming. The buddy system, a wonderful feature that will allow us to upgrade our pokemon by walking and searching for pokemon, looks like it’s coming to Pokemon Go soon thanks to some impressive data mining.

According to Pokemon Go Hub, the buddy system making its way to your pocket will allow you to choose a pokemon to “bond” with. Essentially, it’s another step counting gameplay system, with your chosen Pokemon walking along with you as you hatch eggs and capture endless Ratatas. But, with your buddy, you’ll be able to earn candy which means you can more easily power them up and upgrade your chosen friend.

Pokemon Go Hub has the details (head over there for even more info):

  • Walking your Pokemon Buddy will award you with candy. The amount of candy is yet to be determined.
  • You can walk the same Pokemon Buddy multiple times, but there is likely a daily limit for obtained candy.

Basically, this is you and your buddy.

It’s somewhat of a bummer to still be without trading and “real” combat, but this latest update will definitely allow you to carve out a stable of adorable monsters that you feel are truly yours. Now Niantic just needs to figure out what they’re going to do once those frigid, winter months keep trainers from trudging from pokestop to Pokestop.

The Open Letter To The Girl Who Let The Nice Guy Go

At some point in our lives, each and every one of us experiences the bitter sting of heartbreak. While it always seems insurmountable in the moment, time has a way of healing the wound… or at least taking the edge off.

The open letter below was written by a woman who was tired of seeing the “nice guys” get away from the very girls that need them the most. Her reasoning is one we all need to pay attention to, nice guys, flighty girls, and all of us in between.

Dear Girl Who Walked Away,

It’s not like you weren’t aware of what you were getting yourself into. He told you he was nice. He trusted easily and gave you all he could when he could.

The nice guy believes in doing things right. He was there when you needed him to be, and he went out of his way to make sure you knew just how much you could mean to someone.

We live in a generation where we all have to wear masks and play parts to make it through the battlefield of dating in the 21st century. There is no such thing as giving it your all.

We like quotes on Facebook and post things on Instagram stating we want the masochist one day and the romantic the next. We play these games where being available can only happen sometimes, and playing hard-to-get must be our number one priority. Why?

I thought the ultimate goal was to eventually settle down. I mean, what is the point of dating if you have no desire for it to go anywhere? If a one-night stand is what you’re looking for, leave the good guys alone and toy within the levels you lay down.

Save yourself time and energy because the good guy isn’t going to make it easy to just walk away. The good guy cares, so he’ll get his explanation from you even though he knows it’ll be a load of bull.

Every girl says she likes the jerk because he’s the challenge — the one she must break, train and force to be more than just his nature. Have you ever thought, however, maybe you were the girl in need of learning what it means to actually feel again?

You went through something, like we all do, and because of it you changed. It’s normal and heartbreak happens, but the next jerk didn’t fix what the first one did; he kept it the same or made it worse. His priority was not you and couldn’t be you. So now you’re bitter and closed off from anything remotely more satisfying than a one-night stand.

I won’t deny that the jerk is fun or that a good time isn’t promised with him, but when it’s all said and done, is it ever more than just a good time? Probably not.

In fact, the jerk has a charm about him; it’s the charm you justify your pursuit with. You say, “There’s just something about him.” However, it’s probably the same quality that ended up hurting you in the past.

So you tried to push the nice guy away. When he wouldn’t go away, you pushed harder. Still, he didn’t give up and every time you pushed harder, he pulled you in even more.

He ignored your fears and forced you to grow; he fought for your passions when you were too busy writing them off. He forgot your wants and focused on everything you needed. Then you walked away because he was too nice.

He gave you too much of everything you wanted, and life got too easy. You wanted conflict and hardship as if everything else in life did not promise you an endless journey of just that. This is where you failed.

The nice guy has been hurt, too, he just chose to stay nice. He learned that different people were going to provide him different things in life. The nice guy also chose not to let any of it change who he was.

So, he let you walk away and he called it a day. Everyone always says there are plenty of fish in the sea, and he let you go knowing this, even though it hurt.

What you don’t know is that someone else is out there, and she won’t be as foolish you. When you realize all you really want is the nice guy who cares about you too much, it’s going to be too late. Some other girl will be able to see how great he is, and she won’t waste a minute.

So you lost your Ted Mosby and, I promise, to him you were Robin. The nice guys are there to give you a break, a light to something more than the games we identify our generation with.

He may have loved you too soon and it was too crazy and too much, but guys like Mosby don’t happen every day; they happen never. He got you the blue French horn, and he made you feel love when love was no longer a part of your vocabulary. You were now saying “I love you” again and remembering what it felt like.

He was the guy you were supposed to end up with, who makes everything change. I just wish you’d see it before another girl does because at the end of the day, everyone, including the nice guy you don’t deserve, is rooting only for you.

Sincerely, The Girl Who Was Too Late

Even if you feel you’ve missed your chance, it’s never too late to start again.

After His Dog Was Diagnosed With Cancer, The Owner Took Him On A Final Road Trip

In May of 2015, a beautiful chocolate lab named Bella was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, aka bone cancer. Her owner, Nebraska-based Robert Kugler, was told that either Bella’s front leg should be amputated or she should be put down right away because she was in pain. The decision to amputate Bella’s leg was made and she was given three to six months to live, because cancer had spread to her lungs. After the surgery, Kugler decided to take his furry best friend on a final farewell adventure.

Kugler and Bella traveled to a bunch of places across the country including Chicago, Key West, Nashville, and Savannah – but the journey isn’t over yet! Now, 14 months later, the happy pair are still traveling the country and enjoying each others company. As Robert Kugler said: “Bella is doing pretty darn awesome.” You can follow their journey on Instagram or rklifeillustrated.com.

Construction Worker Hides Waldo On Site Everyday For Kids In Hospital Next Door To Find

A thoughtful construction worker named Jason Haney thought it would be nice to do something to cheer up the children in the hospital next door. His idea was absolutely brilliant.

Haney, with the help of his daughter, created an 8-foot-tall cut out of Where’s Waldo and hides it on the site every day for the kids in the Memorial Children’s Hospital in South Bend, Indiana to spot. Once Haney is notified that the kids found Waldo, the large cut-out is moved to a different spot, and the kids look for it again. Haney has even created a Facebook group for the kids to post their finds! The best part? Haney and his daughter are already working on cut-out “Minions” for his next project!

Zookeeper Decides To Add “Pokemon Go” Signs Next To Animals

Pokemon Go has officially taken over the world, and whether you like it or not, resistance is futile. But one zookeeper in Birmingham, Alabama has recently come up with a great way to get fans of the massively popular game to pay more attention to the ACTUAL animals on display at Birmingham Zoo. How? She gave the zoo’s exhibit signs a Pokemon Go makeover!

She made the signs after noticing that many people were visiting the zoo just to capture Pokemon. So in order to try to engage them with the exhibits, she decided to make them more Pokemon-friendly. “Decided to jump on the Pokémon Go hype train at the zoo!” wrote the anonymous zookeeper on a Tumblr page called zookeeperproblems. “Hey, if you can’t beat ‘em…”

Ellen Gave Her A Car As A Surprise Gift. What Happens Next That Has Her Dropping To Her Knees

During Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, an officer with the Army National Guard, Chris Banford calls up the host live on air. He explains to Ellen that he has missed their 10th wedding anniversary and that’s it’s the first one he’s ever not been able to share with his wife Mary.

The spotlight suddenly shines on his wife in the audience as she is blown away by the epic moment televised to the world. Chris asks Ellen to do one thing for him, and when she says she will help him, everyone is blown away!

FollowingIMGd87fsfds

The crowd is tearing up when Chris explains that he has missed their anniversary because of his military duties for America.

But what Ellen does to help out this couple completely blew my mind.

Soon after the call, Ellen brings Mary up on stage and starts to ask her lots of questions about her husband and their family. They have two young boys and live in Oklahoma. Her husband is stationed about 6 hours away for a military training.

But after just a few minutes, Ellen realizes that this young wife has no way of reaching her husband since their car is in terrible condition. So then seconds later, Ellen surprises Mary when she presents her with a brand-new car. But she is only getting started on her surprise for the deserving couple.

Watch what Ellen does next at the 3:40 mark. WOW!!!

Passengers Were Bored In An Airport, Until WWII Vet Decided To Lighten Up The Mood!

What do you get when you combine a delayed flight and a group of WWII vets who know how to groove? Pure brilliance.

During a layover at the Reagan International Airport in Washington, onlookers captured what may be the best impromptu grandpa dance ever! The performance actually started with three women entertaining passengers by singing The Andrews Sisters’s “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.” Out of nowhere emerged a sweet old man with some fancy moves… and he was ready to show them off for the crowd.

Then, out of nowhere, emerged a sweet old man. He was acting like he had a hurt back and couldn’t move well… but it was all part of his show.

I knew it was gonna be good when he refused to pick up his cane and he started doing his own “jig”. It’s a priceless moment that is sure to have made the delayed flight much more enjoyable for all!

This video reminds me of the senior Barber Shop Quartet that showed off their serious talent to plane passengers before takeoff. It’s always amazing to find elderly folks full of so much joy!

Check out his silky smooth moves in the video below!

Homeless Guy Approached Girl Playing Pokemon, But He Was Stunned When She Did Something So Simple.

A young woman named Kimberly was enjoying her lunch break, playing Pokemon Go, when she was approached by a homeless man on the street. The older gentleman, named Daniel, had simply noticed her walking about, aimlessly looking at her phone and thought she may need help with directions.

After explaining the game to him and showing him how to catch Pokemon, Daniel had a good laugh. As she turned to leave, the homeless man asked her for some food… what happened next is something we all need to pay attention to.

“While out catching Pokemon in Atlanta I was approached by a frail looking older man on a worn out bicycle, I know I must have appeared lost looking at my phone screen and walking around trying to find a specific Pokemon near me and he asked if I needed help getting anywhere and I told him ‘No, I’m just playing a game called Pokemon Go.’ He went on to ask what a Pokemon Go was and I proceeded to show him and a wild Pidgey showed up and I was even able to show him how to catch it and how it shows up on the camera so it looks like it’s in the real world and he smiled and laughed and chatted with me about how he was wondering what all these young people walking around with their phones doing funny things were doing.

FollowingiMG8ds7fds

image via Kimberly Schintzius

He then thanked me for being so kind and walking and talking with him instead of pretending he doesn’t exist like he had shared with me is what most people do whenever he tries to have conversations with people or tried to offer directions like he did me. for a little bit. Well I was already on my way to grab dinner at the Deli near Centennial Olympic Park and he looked sad all of a sudden and said ‘I dont want you to think I’m trying to beg for money or anything like that like I know a lot of people ask for that and go buy alcohol or cigarettes but I don’t smoke, I’d really just like something to eat ma’am. Is there any way you could help me out? Anything would be appreciated. I’ll even stand right outside wherever you go in because I don’t want you to give me money and never know where it goes to.’

Since I was just going to get myself some pasta salad I went ahead and ordered a whole meal that came with pasta salad as a side and I just kept the side for myself and handed him the rest of food I had ordered for him and with a tear in his eye he asked politely if he could give me a hug and I replied ‘of course! I would love to give you a hug sir, may I get a photo with you in return?’ He smiled and gave me a hug and we took a photo. As I turned to walk back to the park where my dad was at work in the Repicci’s trailer he said ‘Miss Kimberly (I still had on my work name badge) my name is Daniel Wise, I am a Vietnam Veteren and from the bottom of my heart I would like to thank you for the kindness you showed me today and letting me see that there are still young people like you out there who do selfless things like this in a world that often turns its back on old men like me and pretends we don’t exist.’

While it broke my heart to know he is more than often ignored and treated like he isn’t even human, it warmed my heart to help him get a meal in his belly tonight and lift his spirits with a simple conversation while walking down the street.” ❤️

You never know when you’ll have the chance to do something beautiful for somebody else. This lone veteran had been ignored and pushed to the side, but a moment of human kindness from a stranger restored his faith in humanity.

Share and inspire acts of kindness!
