New Galaxy Note 6 Details Reveal Radical Changes

Leaks have shown us Apple’s major iPhone redesign plans (and limitations), but it looks like Samsung will beat it to the punch – yet again…

Working with uSwitch, famed leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka @OnLeaks) has revealed detailed renders of the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 and they show five major changes:

1.Edge Display
The big head turner sees the Note 6 adopt the iconic curved ‘Edge display’ seen on Samsung’s 2015 Galaxy S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ as well as 2016’s Galaxy S7 Edge. With the 2017 iPhone also expected to move to an edge touchscreen, Samsung well and truly has the drop on Apple here.

2. Iris Scanner
As fingerprint scanners have become ubiquitous, handset makers are looking for new differentiators and uSwitch points out the Galaxy Note 6 will feature multiple sensors in the top bezel so users can unlock the phone just by looking at it.

Should it work well, it could end the debate over whether a fingerprint sensor should be on the front or back because you won’t need one at all.
