State troopers show up to kid’s birthday after finding out nobody came to party

It can be a disheartening thing when you put on a party and nobody comes. Angela Andrews knows what this feels like. The mom put on a birthday party for her 12-year-old son Toxey and not one person showed up. Andrews took to Facebook to vent her frustration with the situation.

Then later in the week, something amazing happened: guests arrived, albeit belatedly, bearing cake and gifts. These guests were not the ones who were originally invited to the party. They were a group of Arkansas State Troopers who had read about Toxey’s ruined birthday on Facebook.

According to a post that Andrews published on Facebook, the troopers brought a cookie cake and presents such as a basketball and skateboard for her son. They even brought one of their police dogs, Rino. Toxey got to play with Rino, pose for pictures with the trooper and play with the siren in the troopers’ cars. The troopers also shot a few hoops with Toxey and enjoyed the cake with him.

Andrews said the troopers’ kindness and charity was priceless. “I don’t even know where to start because thank you just doesn’t seem good enough,” she wrote. “ They made this sweet baby’s day, his year!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will never be able to repay the kindness you showed my family today!!”

Andrews’ Facebook post is transcribed below:

“I don’t even know where to start because thank you just doesn’t seem good enough! After I made a post Saturday about Toxey being disappointed that no one came to his birthday party, an Arkansas State Trooper heard about the post. What ensues is the stuff dreams are made of. This afternoon after Toxey got home from school, a caravan of 5 state troopers pulled up at our house, K-9 included. Not only did they bring him a birthday cookie cake, but they also brought him all kinds of presents, let him play with Rino, the K-9, and play with the sirens in their cars. They ate his cake with him and played basketball with him. All out of the goodness of their hearts. They made this sweet baby’s day, his year!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will never be able to repay the kindness you showed my family today!! Come on friends, let’s make these guys famous! They deserve to be recognized for the wonderful people they are!! Thank you Arkansas State Troopers!!!”
